That's what I wrote in the first post. Now, hav'in ridden with the PowerMadd riser on four or five rides, the handlebars do "Feel" more solid to me.
I like the way the entire bottom of the handlebar sits in that "trough" ... the top clamp is about the same width as the Rox (I'd have to measure to be certain) ... & I like the single large dia. allen head bolts.
I'm sure strength wise, the four Rox allen head bolts & the two PowerMadd allen head bolts, are about equal if not the exact same.
Also, if you have two seperate pieces of a fitting compared to one solid piece fitting, there is more of a chance the two piece fitting, under the right circumstances, could twist in opposite directions ... where as the solid piece moves as an entire unit.
Now, this may never happen as the handlebar is the "Fixture" for the Rox risers ... but should a rider roll, or flip his or her bike hard onto it's side, it might happen.
Now I may be totally wrong in my thinking here ... who knows. Reguardless, I prefer the PowerMadd riser ... did I mention the difference in thickness of the Rox riser compared to the PowerMadd one ?
Uprights - Rox = 1.750 in. wide (at the flat. Riser is tapered) X 0.371 in. thick ... PowerMadd is 2.250 in. wide X 0.720 thick (the entire width & height)
Top of the Clamp thickness (over the handlebar) - Rox = 0.256" .... PowerMadd = 0.353"
Face of Clamp to handlebar - Rox = 0.410" .... PowerMadd = 0.515"
Bottom of Handlebar Trough Thickness (where the handlebars rests) - Rox = 0.140" (for the majority of its width = 0.844 x2 (2 risers) = 1.688" in combined length) ... PowerMadd = 0.515" (for the entire length of the trough which is 4.750" in length)
It's really difficult to write the differeneces, but the PowerMadd riser is a solid piece of Aluminum ... it has more mass & weight to it ... in my opinion, this makes it better to take abuse & stand up to hard riding .... but thats only My Humble opinion.
