This is a much debated question. Both quads have their strong points and their weak points. The Brute has can gain a decent amount of power by doing airbox mods and exhaust whereas the Grizzly has minimal power to be gained with those mods comparatively speaking.
On the flip side, if you would be happy with the power of the Grizzly, the Grizzly has a better frame geometry which will in turn give you a more comfortable ride and better handling than the Brute will give you.
The question is, of those factors, which is more important.

I've had both and I like the Brute overall but the Grizz should be better in mud. I have an 09 Brute thats never seen mud or snow with many extras for sale!!

I think if you are doing slow and technical riding, the Grizz is hard to beat mainly cause the power steering and the comfort level. If you want to run flat out WOT a lot, then put some consideration in the Brute. Both are great machines in certain areas neither is a perfect solution though.

If the Kawi would add power steering to the Brute, they'd be a sales leader. Price for performance is just tough to beat. That 750 is a rip snorting the engine. The Grizz is no slouch. I had one and loved it. Power steering is better than everyone claims. IMO The one thing I didn't like about the Grizz was the seat. Sitting on it, it was comfortable as can be. But after a day of riding I was wishing for a firmer seat. This one gave me monkeybutt real bad. LOL

I will be plowing in the winter and some mud in the summer but most riding will be on trails.

Either quad will push snow just fine. I had not problems with the Grizz 700 whatsoever. In fact, the power steering shined in this situation.
