Believe me I know. IE is easer but not near as buggy as IE always tends to be.

Another good thing about FF is that it is a little more secure when it comes to malware and adware.

Gunny, in response to you getting the IE operation aborted issue, I have changed your text editor from standard editor to the basic editor. Unfortunately that makes you lose some ehancement options on creating your posts. If you choose to use Firefox for now, you can change the editor to enhanced and have full editing options and it will work fine.

I've determined the root of the problem that is causing this in IE. Now I just have to get it fixed. This could take a few days. If I were you, I would use firefox and change the editor to enhanced so you can have full editing abilities and access to all the smilies I know you love to use.

Thanks for your patience.

Buster

Cool You Da Man !!!!

Yeah, I changed the text editor to the enhanced one ... crash. So I changed to the standard one ... it worked once ... crash. And I didn't have time, nor did I put two & two together after that, that the editor was the issue.

As far as using FireFox ... can't at work. At home .... we'll see. It seems my bank & my e-mail provider, have issues with FireFox & I'm unable to do anything with either using FireFox.

But, as you stated .... I like to use the smileys ... they just seem to add a "Feeling" to a message ... LOL !!! ... So I may try it.

Keep up the good work .... cause I think Grizzlywizard is slack'in !!! ..... Oh, Hi GW !!! .... Waaaz Up

Later .....

BusterW,
I recieved an e-mail notification & where you gave instructions on going into restricted sites, etc. However, I don't see that message here ??

Anyway, that option is blocked on my work computer. Tried it here, at home, on my laptop .... it appeared to working, but when I did a Message Preview", it put everything together AND, added some stuff. (like a <P at the start & a >P at the end .... and it also added some text. (after the first "&", it added "amp;" without the quotes)
Also, see what it did (added the word quote) were I had put quotation marks around the word, more.

So I went back to the "Basic" editor.

I do have a question (Again ? Yeah, I know) .... I put my cursor over the "more" smilies, get a little pop up note that read, 30 of 337 .... but nothing happens ? And, if I click on one of the 30 to insert it ... doesn't happen.
Either in Ehanced or Basic editor.

Again, I assume, that is still being worked out. But I wanted to let ya know. OK, I'll stop for a while, cause I know you're busy.

Later ...

Gunny, I removed the post b/c I found out it disabled some or most of our features so I'm still researching additional fixes to the "operation aborted" error. However, it did resolve the problem, but in the meantime stopped MANY other things for working.

Have you attempted to click on the smilies link at the bottom of the thread when you're trying to type a thread. It works for me by it opening a new window. From there I can copy the code that it tells me to use into a post and it works. Have you tried that?

As for it putting additional characters in, Gary and I are gonna have to look at this. Is it working OK now?

I'm currently using advanced mode in Firefox and all seems well. Keep me posted so I can find solutions.

Thanks!

Buster

Ok. BMan...what I meant by calling someone was that I was going to call GDub. I've spoken with him a bit and talked about one of the issues.

Allow me to elaborate a bit more. I can not get the chat to work in FireFox but it works fine in IE. I can not post worth a crap in IE but posting (so far into this post) seems to be working fine with FireFox. I'm using the enhanced editor and I see all kinds of lil happy faces to my right.

I'm attempting to send you and GDub some print screens. I, like Gunny, experineced the aborted thing with IE. I took a screen shot of it. Not that it will do a lot of good but at least you will see what we see. I'm the chat with the IE explorer and in the forum with the FF. Maybe can work this out?

Alrighty .... downloaded FireFox .... seems kinda slow compared to IE ... but when I'm on the site in IE ... it keeps crash'in ...

However, so far with FireFox ... everything is Good To Go ... including my favorite little buddies .... the smilies !! ...

I'll keep pok'in around while in FireFox & see what happens. I'll also try to reload my album & see if it stays put this time ...

Well you guys keep at it ... cause I for one appreciate it ... No, really !!!
