If that's a sprocket...I think it's time for a new one. The teeth are worn down.
That first black t-shirt looks real good! When screen printing you'd loose a ton of depth and definition that you have in a high rez version of the sprocket design.
I say both designs are great and original. To me, originality means a lot. That being said the tri-start and gear looks really good. As long as you use one of the designs submitted by the admins I'm good for one of each. What can I say...I like it here.
(I should also add that I voted for the high res stuff, but would also be interested in low res goods, but not both therefore I only voted for one res.)
Here's just a simple tank decal we cut today. It's in silver. We may or may not use this font but wanted something easy to read from a distance that wouldn't be too hard to weed when we cut them. FYI, weeding is hand picking out the little pieces of vinyl that are in the middle of letters like the center of an A, e, O or P. Complicated fonts make weeding a lot of decals a more time consuming process.
Actually, very quckly before I posted this the other night, I did replace the red with orange. It has a lot of gradient in that 3D version that darkened the orange up making it look closer to red. Tonight I'll reduce some of the darkness of the gradient and brighten the orange. However, I'm about to change a garage door out for my dad and then be on the trail and in the river for the rest of the day.

I dont know what your screen and setup costs are, but a pocket T with the schprocket logo shrunk down on the chest pocket with the simpler logo across the back would be slick. Minimize the color count to keep the screen charges down.
