Terrible Squeek Vs. Me
Wish me luck. I'm going to tear into the Outlander today to fix that terrible squeek incurred from fixing a CV Boot some time ago. While I'm in there, I'm going to put some fresh oil in it and grease all around. I haven't looked yet, but hopefully I will be able to clear that "maintenance soon" code from my display pannel (needs oil change).

You can't clear the "maintenance soon" message. The dealer as to clear it by hooking it up to a laptop that has the BUDS software on it. They can then clear messages and change the welcome message from there.
My dealer told me he thinks there is a setting in there so he can stop "maintenance soon" from ever coming back. When I take mine in to get the message wiped off my display, we're gonna look into that.

Disconnect the battery overnight and see if the code goes away. If it doesn't than thats a bunch of BS by can am making you take it to the dealer every time you need a oil change.
Also on your oil plug....go to the hardware store...they most likely have some self tapping plugs.

CanAm 3 - Me 4
I won!
FYI, when replacing a CV Boot you absolutly must follow the torques on the torsion bar. All torqued and squeekless.
