Can Am SxS - Coming Soon to a Dealer Near You

Well, I just receive an email from a good source that the new Can Am side by side (SxS) will be released to the dealers in June of 2010.

Our source indicated that the new Can Am UTV which has a prototype currently being tested in Tennessee will be equipped with the 990 Spyder engine affording the platform with 100 horsepower. Top speed was reportedly 83 MPH.

We should hear an announcement sometime in May of 2010.

STAY TUNED!

Call me skeptical... I hope it's true, but I still see them throwing the Canam 800 motor.

I'm not sure what to expect, but it stands to reason that they would throw one of their 900 class motors in it. After all, they smoked everyone when they came out with their 800 class 4x4's.

Guess we'll just have to wait it out (longer).

I here you and agree with all statements. I thing a SxS with 83+ HP puts the company in once of those liability risks.

I just don't understand how manufacturer's can produce 100hp sleds and equally as potent bikes out of the factory and not be considered evil, but let them do the same for a quad and they are the devil!

I just don't see the logic in that.

Well I think it will be awesome with either motor. Look at how long it took them to finally come out with power steering. But when they did it was SWEET! And the best thing is I'll be able to read about it while I'm deployed in Iraq and by the time I get home they should have all the kinks worked out. I was planning on a new quad when I get home anyway. This might just work out
