I think for smooth joints you would use street elbows. They actually slip inside the pipe rather than the pipe slipping inside the elbow.

Yep, used 45 degree street elbows and a 2" pvc pipe coupler, then some good ol two part epoxy and alot of sandpaper. Sprayed them with rubberized undercoating, but think I'm going to redo with spray bedliner in the spring.
