best bang for the buck performance!

I've just installed the best bang for the buck performance mod that I've done yet on the Project-X Renegade 800. The Dalton Clutch kit is amazing!!! Holy hell! Had the clutch work on the Grizzly noticed such an improvement, it would have been a different machine all together but wow.

I gotta say that for the MSRP of $219, I have not seen a performance gain like this on the Gade or my Grizzly 700. The bottom end gain is amazing as well as mid-range. Haven't been able to take it anywhere yet to run top-end to see how that was effected but so far it is quite amazing.

The clutch engagement went from 1650 RPMs to 2050 RPMs. Alothough that seems like it would be annoying, it's actually pretty nice to roll off the start like that.

I love the added stall my maroon spring gave my Brute. I just upped my idle with the Copperhead so the stall is the same as stock but much more forceful. Best $20 mod I ever did other than snorkels

Yeah I wish Dyna was making a Copperhead unit for the Gade but they aren't as of yet, nor is anyone else making any type of programmer. Stinks!

Good to hear the kit is working as good for you as it does for me on the Outty. Can't wait to read your review.

On the programer, they don't make them, but do they need them? Who can keep up as it is?

Why wouldn't you want your engines timing and stoichiometry perfectly optimized?

Many can keep up, really just depends on the rider.

I may change my best bang for the buck mod and go with break in mileage. Every time I go ride the Brute has gotten stronger. 550 miles and I now hit 59-60mph on our dragstrip and I remember only being able to hit 54-55mph a few hundred miles ago.

You'd better go back to the Polaris Board big guy. In all fairness. I was joking (about the Polaris thing too). I would love to see someone do something for the Gade/Outty in the programmer dept as well. Just trying to have a lil fun.

Oh here we go again, I was in know way challenging the Gade or Outy against my 1000+ pound RZR.

But if were getting in a rider vs rider, I would put my little old antiquated 700 up against your big bad state of the art 800 any day of the week big boy.

This is an interesting little tinking contest you girls have going on. I will say that if a good rider was riding the Grizz you are referring to and a decent rider was riding a Gade or Outty, the power difference between the 700 and the 800 would have that only decent rider far enough ahead that the better rider on the 700 would be really working it to keep up. Now on a drag strip, identical riders, there just would be no comparison.

As for the need for a programmer of some form, as GW said, it is to have things running optimally which results in better performance. I cannot believe you would even ask if they NEED more power. Of course they do. There is always a need for MORE speed.
