Renegade clutch kit
Alrighty then, well my wife is going to let me get the HMF exhaust and an EFI controller for my renegade in June. I'm pretty stoked but I have been wondering about a clutch kit. Since I put the ITP SS312's on, the power seems to have suffered very slightly. It's still all kinds of fun to ride but I would love to add more power. My question is whether a Dalton Clutch Kit will do it for me in addition to the exhaust and EFI controller. I've heard good things but I'm not entirely sure what the tradeoffs might be. Any help would be more than appreciated.

Mike, I agree with Nate about calling Dalton. I'm not sure if you bumped up the tire size from the factory 25" or not. But, even if you left the tires stock size, it is my understanding that Dalton has a setup for stock size tires that is suppoed to provide good results for the gade. I'm thinking it is the green/tan spring but could be wrong.
You can also change the helix in the clutch and put in a 650 helix but I'm not very knowledgeable on it. I know it changes clutch engagement RPMs and costs around $40 from a can-am dealer.

Visit Dalton Industries Ltd. or email them at info@daltonindustries.com
As I mentioned, they have some very knowledgable staff and great customer service. I just ordered a kit from them this morning.

Hey guys, I had gone up to 27" Mud Lites on my '07 gade, bought a Dalton kit from my local dealer at the same time, but didn't know enough about enough to get in there and DIY. Now I'm wondering if I got taken for a ride? All I got back was a box with the 2 springs, and a Dalton sticker, should I have gotten my old helix back as well? Thanks guys, any info would be great!

I'm not real sure what you are saying there, but if I understand correctly, you had a Dalton Kit installed by the dealer. If this is the case, you should have only gotten the primary and/or secondary spring(s) back from the install. The helix is not part of the kit as far as I know.

The Dalton kit does not come with a helix.
It's hard to know if you got taken though if you're referring to price without us knowing what you paid for the kit and installation.

Thanks for the info guys. I bought the tires and Dalton kit from the dealer, who installed both. I was just wondering if the deler, knowing that I was going to put 27" tires on would have changed the helix, or if it came in the clutch kit at all. Thanks again

Dealers generally don't have that much intution.
And to reinforce B-Dub's statement, I looked Dalton's site and the Gade kit does not come with the Helix, as I suspected.
