thanks sarge, although i do find some comfort in blasting away at idiots! kinda reminds me of training with the army pugil sticks. do they still use them? maybe i'm dating myself by bringing them up, but i imagine they still do... or, maybe they sold them to the American Gladiators tv show.

my shifter isn't bad at all, but I took down the info for both bearings and will definitly replace the culprits, with one or the other ( I'm in Canada) don't get my wrong, I still "hump" the gade when stopped on inclines, and when the quad is in deep mud. Thanks for the info guys!

Well I finally did this mod. At first I thought maybe it wasn't that much of an improvement but then we figured out if we pump the brakes it shifts like greased lightening. Thanks Stray for this valuable information. Here is a video documenting it.

Just an update. The quad's shifting is pretty much gravy now. If anyone has the problem of stiff shifting their canam this is the way to go. I've got some pointers for anyone trying it out. Just give us a shout.

thankx for theinfo on this shifting problem i am going to try this do you guys have a bearing part# for this also great idea on rear sealing the housing water in there drives me nuts and now i know how to address it

Hey, I have a problem with my 09 outlander 800 when i put it in low its actually in high and when i put it in hidh its in low gear, I have no idea how this is possible? :/ any know what the problem is and how to fix it? THANKS
