So I had my BRP diff protection added to. Now I feel my inner boots are covered. Just need to work on the outers now. Anyone here have a picture of the Pro Armor rear protectors? The picture on their web site is deceiving as I can't tell how much is protected from the rear.

Wish I did. I have come to believe that skids are the only way to protect the boots as all my searches for kevlar boot covers are either non existant or impossible to find.

hello everyone, After reading 6 pages of your CV boot issues. I would first like to ask if any of you are running lifts on your bikes if so pull them out right away. this is a huge cause in CV boot Tears. Not so much when your in the mud or water but more so if when your done and riding home the boot heats up and gets soft and tears. witht he Axles being on greater angles the CV boot rubs on itself causeing friction. As for the boots being soft.. Its accually the compete opposite. the new BRP CV boots are really hard almost like they've been drying out. I asked my Dealler if there was something wrong withthe first one i changed and he said thats how they are on the 09 and 10 models 11 now...
After i changed them I simply use CV boot conditioner and it seems to loosen them up and have had no issues now for over a year.. hope this helps..

I have actually been using the Moose Racing CVT boots on my Renegade and my Rhino. They are much more durable material than stock on either machine.
To answer your question, my machines are not lifted but get torn when a stitck or tree gets passed my Ricochet skid plates and stabs the boot.

Same for me. I don't run a lift on my quad. I don't have skids either. Now I have terrible noise coming from the rear end of my outlander and can't figure out what it is. Sounds like a CV going out and the right rear inboard CV boot has a grease spot on it so I'm guessing it has a small hole in it somewhere. Screw it. I'll run it till it breaks and replace it again. I may follow B-dubya's lead and get the Moose Boots if they make em for the Outty.

You guy that are getting boots torn so often should consider Kevlar boot covers. I ran them on my Grizzly and the worked awesome. Never had a torn boot.

A Frame skids do a good job protecting the boots. Just clean them out when they start to build up with mud, leaves, and twigs.
