Arctic Cat Engine Brake Actuator

Just picked up a 2006 650 v2. The engine brake actuator constantly runs, even with the key out. It was draining the battery so I unplugged it. Then I took it off the bike. I opened it up and it doesnt look like anything is wrong. What could possibly be giving it power all the time to make it run continuously
Anyone out there with similar problems.
Thanks
ATV Shaggy

Sounds to my like you got a dead short to ground or 12VDC , or something in the ECU is causing it to stay running.

I would say your problem is in the wiring somewhere before it reaches the actuator.

I fixed the problem. I replaced the Actuator controller. iIt listed for $419 but I found a new one on Ebay for $50. This is a small computer next to the main ECU. Now when the key is turned on, it buzzes and goes off.

Good that you found the problems relatively easy. It's also good that you were able to find a replacement art cheap to be able to test.

Thanks for the update on your fix.
