where did the 1000 go?

Did the big 1000 cc Thundercat fizzle out or what? I haven't heard much since they were released.

Re: where did the 1000 go?

I belive everything now calls them a 950. I believe the 1000 was causing flak from certain states due to maximum CC regulations for trails. Needless to say, the chatter has fizzled and I'm a bit surprised by this too. Polaris and Arctic Cat need to change a few things such as one lever breaking. To me that's a HUGE turn off for either of these machines.

I also think demand has slowed the production rate on these to a limited amount. After they are able to test it in certain demographics AC should know how many to produce.

Well I am a memeber of AC Chat. Several memebers have them. Not much talk about them other than they are an extreme power house. One guy already had battery issues and it had to be replaced. Another had some lose fittings that needed fixing. Usual new bike bugs. Time will tell on these monsters.

Re: where did the 1000 go?

I was just wondering if it was just too much machine in power and weight.

My opinion it is going to be a little heavy for most styles of riding I like to do. Thats the best thing about some of the current ATV's. The are light enough that you can still horse them around a good bit.
