I think it is mainly the engine. The transmission is reasonable at moving the power along, although the gearing and shift points seem all wrong to me. It feels like it needs about two more gears lower than first gear (no low range on the Rincon). And my Rincon always felt like it was in too tall of a gear, unless I shifted the transmission with the electronic shifter. Even then, if I made the engine rev more it just made more noise and vibrated more, it didn't seem to make any more power.
Rincon's have four wheel independent suspension, with one of the best valved sets of shocks in the industry. The shocks on my Rincon had no adjustment capability at all, but still worked very well. Handling was also very good. Just NOOOOO power.
